Mexico City and the Audi S1 Hoonitron combine in style for Block's last YouTube epic

As Ken Block’s final Hoonigan film, it didn’t really matter what was produced for Electrikhana 2 – its huge significance guaranteed attention. Handily, however, like all the films that made the series such a hit, this is a great watch, a fine display of engineering might, driving skill, and some slightly mad thinking. A fitting tribute, then.
The action takes place in Mexico City, with Block having worked with Audi to build on ‘important development lessons’ from the first time out in Las Vegas. Following KB’s untimely passing, this video was originally never going to be shown to the world. We should all be very glad that it has, because it’s an absolute treat: donuts, drifts, skids and flicks in the most unlikely of environments. With some damage to the scenery as well, and more tyre smoke than it ever seemed possible one car could make. Whatever happened to the Hoonitron between Electrikhanas has worked a treat, the S1-inspired beast seemingly even faster, more agile and sillier than ever before.
There’s little more that needs to be said, truthfully.. Here’s a man globally famous for his driving style doing what he does best in a truly remarkable electric car. These films were the start of an exciting new era for both Block and the Hoonigan franchise, sadly never to be fully explored. Let’s enjoy what we have, though; if nothing else, the videos are fantastic entertainment. Thanks for the memories, KB.
