The insurance price comparison site Go.Compare has revealed the most stolen vans in the UK, with around half of police forces reporting a rise in stolen commercial vehicles.
The company noted that, between 2019 and 2022, commercial vehicle thefts rose slightly, with 4.55 stolen vans per 1,000 being recorded at the end of the period.
Tom Banks, motoring expert at Go.Compare, highlighted that the data shows the importance of keeping all vehicles safe from the thieves.
He explained: “This research is a stark reminder of the challenges van owners face in safeguarding their vehicles.
“The rate of van thefts, coupled with the prominence of certain van models on thieves’ radars, highlights the critical importance of having the right security measures in place, as well as proper protection.”
