The 1300 CC Beetle is really sporty and I understand was really excellent up the 35 hairpin bends<\/h2>\n<p><strong>BHPian KPS <\/strong>recently shared this with other enthusiasts.<\/p>\n<p>Madras Heritage Motoring Club (MHMC) in association with GEDEE Car Museum, Karnataka Vintage and Classic Car Club (KVCCC) and Nilgiris Vintage and Classic Car Club (NiViCCA) had lovely drive to Ooty, after a stopover at Coimbatore.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.team-bhp.com\/sites\/default\/files\/pictures2023-09\/1_46.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Since I could not make it due to my work commitments, my good friend Srinand decided to take my Beetle!. He ditched his unfaithful British cars to understand the hype about this German car<\/p>\n<p>The family and especially the kids were very happy to go in the Beetle.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.team-bhp.com\/sites\/default\/files\/pictures2023-09\/2_47.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Towards Coimbatore<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.team-bhp.com\/sites\/default\/files\/pictures2023-09\/3_40.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>They left early to beat the traffic<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.team-bhp.com\/sites\/default\/files\/pictures2023-09\/4_35.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>After Breakfast at Murugan Idli at Krishnagiri, they set off towards Salem, where the Madras Group would arrive<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.team-bhp.com\/sites\/default\/files\/pictures2023-09\/5_30.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Speeds up to 50-55 miles can be easily maintained by this car<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.team-bhp.com\/sites\/default\/files\/pictures2023-09\/6_28.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>At Salem, the regrouping with the MHMC cars<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.team-bhp.com\/sites\/default\/files\/pictures2023-09\/7_21.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>At Salem, the regrouping with the MHMC cars<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.team-bhp.com\/sites\/default\/files\/pictures2023-09\/8_18.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>After an over night halt and display at GeDee Museum, the cars moved onwards to Ooty<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.team-bhp.com\/sites\/default\/files\/pictures2023-09\/9_16.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Off to the Queen of the Hills<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.team-bhp.com\/sites\/default\/files\/pictures2023-09\/10_14.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>Ooty&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.team-bhp.com\/sites\/default\/files\/pictures2023-09\/11_12.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>The Kalhatti Ghat was easily conquered by the Beetle.
