Toyota's Tokyo show star points towards a pure-electric alternative to the venerable off-roader<\/h2>\n

Toyota has kicked off its plethora of Tokyo Motor Show concept cars in style, with an BEV alternative to the go-anywhere Toyota Land Cruiser. It\u2019s the first confirmation that the venerable off-roader will embrace electrification in the future.<\/p>\n

Badged \u2018Landcruiser Se\u2019, the maker says the seven-seat 4×4 concept offers the \u201chigh-torque driving performance unique to BEVs\u201d. No further battery or powertrain information has been confirmed at this time.<\/p>\n
