The Royal Enfield Interceptor, Continental GT and Super Meteor currently make up the brand’s 650cc range. The bike maker is now gearing up to add a fourth model to the line-up.

The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is a new roadster based on the same platform as the Super Meteor. As per the type approval certificate, the Shotgun 650 measures 2,170 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 1,465 mm. The bike is 70 mm narrower, and the overall height is 50 mm shorter than the Super Meteor.

The Shotgun will be powered by a 648cc, parallel-twin engine producing 46.3 BHP @ 7,250 rpm. Peak torque is expected to be around 52 Nm, and the engine will be mated with a 6-speed gearbox.

In terms of design, the Shotgun 650 is likely to feature a circular LED headlamp, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank and mid-mounted footpegs offering a sporty riding position. The bike will be equipped with an upside-down front fork, dual rear shock absorbers and dual exhausts.
