A heavily camouflaged prototype of the Mahindra XUV300 was recently spotted testing on public roads. The SUV is expected to be launched early next year.

The upcoming XUV300 is likely to get a major makeover just like its rival, the Tata Nexon. Despite the camouflage, the design changes made to the car are clearly visible.

The XUV300 facelift will get a redesigned front fascia inspired by some of the brand’s latest electric SUVs. It has C-shaped LED daytime running lights that look similar to that of the BE.05. At the rear, the SUV appears to have new C-shaped tail lamps with an LED light bar in the centre.

Inside, the updated XUV300 is expected to get a larger touchscreen infotainment system. The floating head unit can be clearly seen in the spy images.

The XUV300 facelift will carry forward the same 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. Currently, Mahindra offers a choice of 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic on all engines.

The all-electric XUV400 could also receive similar updates in the future.
