Hailie Deegan To Make NASCAR National Series Debut

Hailie Deegan will make her NASCAR national series debut on Oct. 17 at Kansas Speedway.

The 19-year-old Ford Performance prospect will drive the No. 17 for DGR-Crosley in the Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series at the 1.5-mile track in Kansas City, Kansas. She currently races full-time in the ARCA Menards Series where is third in the championship standings behind the wheel of the No. 4 DGR-Crosley Ford with four top-5s and 16 top-10s in 19 starts.

“Honestly, I wasn’t even planning on running trucks this year, but in order for me to qualify for the races I want to run in the future, I have to run this race,” said Deegan in a video posted to her Twitter account. “So, it’s definitely going to be hard; it’s going to be challenging. I think our goal is just to finish the race.”

Prior to running full-time in the ARCA Racing Series, Deegan made 28 K&N Pro Series West starts in 2018 and 2019 with three victories and championship finishes of fifth and third.

As indicated in her social media post, Deegan is expected to run full-time in the Truck Series next season.
