Vivo files trademark for EVs in India

Xiaomi, Huawei and Apple also plan to enter the electric vehicle space in the future.

Smartphone manufacturer Vivo plans to enter the EV space. The company has even filed a trademark application in India.

Vivo is not the only smartphone maker that plans to launch an electric car. Other China-based brands like OnePlus and Oppo have also announced similar plans.

OnePlus has filed a trademark for “oneplus life” in India. The company is working on driverless cars, self-balancing scooters, self-balancing boards, remote control vehicles, civilian drones and self-balancing electric unicycles.

Reports suggest that Oppo could launch its EVs in the Indian market by early 2024.

Xiaomi, Huawei and Apple also plan to enter the electric vehicle space in the future.
