The Scorpio S5 will be positioned between the base ‘S’ and top-spec ‘S11’ variants.
According to media reports, Mahindra is all set to introduce a new ‘S5’ trim of the Scorpio Classic. It will be positioned between the base ‘S’ and top-spec ‘S11’ variants. Dispatches of the S5 variant have already commenced, however, Mahindra is yet to announce the pricing.
The Scorpio S5 comes equipped with 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, black ORVMs and roof rails. The SUV gets body-coloured bumpers, body claddings and side steps.
Like the base variant, the S5 trim is also sparsely equipped. It doesn’t get a touchscreen infotainment system and even misses out on features like automatic climate control and steering-mounted controls. Instead, the SUV gets manual AC with rear AC vents and side-facing bench seats in the third row.
Powering the Scorpio Classic S5 is a 2.2-litre diesel engine that makes 130 BHP and 300 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, which drives the rear axle.
