The Honda Elevate will share its underpinnings with the 5th-gen City and will compete with the Hyundai Creta.
Honda has released another teaser of the Elevate ahead of its global debut scheduled for June 6, 2023. The latest image reveals the car’s single-pane sunroof.
The Elevate is Honda’s first mid-size SUV for the Indian market. The top view of the SUV also reveals a raked rear windshield, roof rails and a shark fin antenna. The SUV is expected to get an upright front fascia with a chrome grille and LED daytime running lights.
Inside, the Honda Elevate will reportedly come equipped with a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The latest teaser suggests that the SUV may not get a panoramic sunroof, at least at launch. It is worth noting that rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara and Toyota Hyryder come with a panoramic sunroof; a feature that will also be available on the upcoming Seltos facelift.
The mid-size SUV will be powered by the 1.5-litre petrol engine from the City, albeit in a higher state of tune. A strong-hybrid version is likely to arrive later, but it won’t get a diesel engine option. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and CVT.
