He was recorded headbutting the police car door in agony just moments after receiving the animal bite. The thief then begged officers for first aid just moments after he was stopped for possibly stealing two cars.

The incident was captured by Channel 5 in the latest series of Motorway Cops: Catching Britain’s Speeders.

The incident happened moments after police stopped a vehicle suspected of being stolen.

Officers claimed he was “smashed off his face” and had already stolen another Ford Focus.

When the police dog found the man, he said: “I’m not lying to ya, he bit my **** off mate”.

He added: “I want an ambulance now.”

The suspect was then seen lying in the back of the police car with grass all over his trousers as he continued to scream.

PC Andy Dorrin reassured the suspect but refused his plea for an ambulance.

“I’m a medic but what I can say is there is no excessive bleeding that would need me to do any first aid here.

“However, we will take you to hospital and they can look at it.”

After the thief asked for an ambulance, PC Dorrin added: “It doesn’t work like that.

“You’re not a fit person to be in an ambulance, you’re getting a van.”

They added: “We have reason to believe that you were the driver of that car.”
